Points to note:
- To enable us to continue to rescue animals we do ask for an adoption fee when re-homing, this varies depending on the type of animal and their age, be aware that this may be several hundred pounds, contact GKK to find out how much the expected fee will be for the animal you want to adopt. If you fail to pay this within two weeks of adoption then the animal will have to come back to GKK.
- Before starting the process of adoption please consider the ongoing costs of caring for an animal. Can you afford to properly provide for their high-quality food, health products, grooming, vets fees, insurance, and other ongoing needs etc? If you work or go away can you afford a dog-walker or pet-sitter?
- All prospective foster/forever homes are home-checked, with follow up home-checks for adopters.
- Animals are to be returned to GKK Animal Rescue if you can no longer care for them.
- We do not home (foster or adopt) animals where there are people who smoke indoors.
- We expect regular updates from fosterers and adopters.
- Fosterers who would like to adopt the animal they are fostering will also have a follow up home-check and need to pay the adoption fee.
- Fostering an animal for GKK Animal Rescue doesn't confer a right of ownership or automatic right of adoption to the foster.
- Fosterers are required to read and fully comply with our fostering agreement.
- Fostering to adopt will be on a 3 week trial.
- Adopters are required to read and fully comply with our adoption agreement, (and microchipping, and neutering agreements where they are needed).
- Also be aware that the fostering and adoption agreements go into more depth than the above points.
Please be sure you understand and agree to the above points
